They would wake up eager to go to the daycare just to stare at the twinkly lights and at night would say goodnight to the tree.
It was getting serious.
So this weekend we set out to get a tree of our own. This is no easy task since Christmas trees around here are very expensive and look like something out of a Charlie Brown cartoon - but we found our "perfect" tree.
As soon as we got it home, Noah was in awe.
We spent all day on Sunday decorating the tree. The boys put up the ornaments that were special to them. Ornaments reflecting our travels and milestones throughout the years. They asked questions about ornaments they didn't remember. It was a special moment.
That evening under glow of the lights we sat reading the 'night before Christmas'. The boys pointed out Santa and the reindeer. They giggled and played. It is exactly what Christmas memories should be about.
